Approximately 50 collections at MONTU from mainly western Montana.
General Description
Stems monomorphic, hollow, usually unbranched, annual, 20–100 cm × 2-8 mm with 10 to 32 ridges. Sheaths green with a terminal black band, the black teeth quickly deciduous. Strobili 10–20 mm, usually blunt. Stems are lighter green and less leathery than those of Equisetum hyemale (
