General Description
Stems 20–40 cm. Leaves: blades 1 mm wide. Inflorescence an open panicle 5–10 cm long. Spikelets 5–7 mm long. Lemmas with an awn 5–8 mm long (Lavin in Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).

Range Comments
