General Description
Perennial bunchgrass. Stems 30–70 cm. Leaves: blades 1–3 mm wide, inrolled at maturity. Inflorescence an open pyramidal panicle 10–30 cm long. Spikelets 4–8 mm long. Lemmas 2.2–3 mm long, with a blunt tip (Lavin in Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
