General Description
Perennial bunchgrass. Stems 10–20 cm. Leaves: blades 0.5–2 mm wide; ligules 1–5 mm long. Inflorescence a contracted panicle 2–5 cm long. Spikelets 4–6 mm long. Lemmas keeled, densely hairy to cobwebby on keel and marginal veins. Treated in Lesica (2012) as Poa pattersonii (Lavin in Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
