General Description
Bunchgrass with creeping rhizomes. Stems 1–few bunched, 30–100 cm. Leaves: blades 2–6 mm wide. Inflorescence a pyramidal panicle 4–12 cm long. Spikelets 3–6 mm long. Lemmas the first two larger and more hairy that the glabrous uppermost floret (which is concealed by the lower two), unawned or with an awn up to 0.5 mm long (Lavin in

Range Comments
