General Description
Stems erect to ascending, 6–30 cm. Leaves glabrate; blades 2–7 mm wide. Inflorescence open with solitary flowers on tips of arching branches; bracteoles ciliate. Flowers: tepals purplish-brown with white margins, ca. 2 mm long; prophylls whitish, often tangled-ciliate. Capsules ovoid, ca. 2 mm long (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants.
