General Description
Short-rhizomatous. Stems 10–50 cm, puberulent. Basal leaves long-petiolate; blades 2–8 cm long, ovate to obovate, entire, on separate shoots. Stem leaves smaller than the basal leaves; blades entire or with 1 or 2 pairs of oblanceolate lateral lobes <1 cm wide. Inflorescence hemispheric, 1–3 cm across, puberulent. Flowers perfect; corolla white, 4–7 mm long, lobes ca. half as long as the tube. Achenes lanceolate, 3–6 mm long, puberulent or glabrous (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants.
