General Description
Annual. Stems erect, simple or branched, 5–20 cm. Herbage glandular-pubescent. Leaves few, short-petiolate, deciduous; blades 5–20 mm long, elliptic, serrate. Inflorescence a terminal, viscid raceme; bracts lobed, leaf-like; pedicels 4–15 mm long. Flowers: calyx 2–4 mm long, swelling in fruit; corolla blue, 2–4 mm across; style 0.5–1 mm long. Capsule reniform to obcordate, deeply lobed, 3–4 mm high, glandular-hispid (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
