General Description
Annual. Stems prostrate to erect, simple or branched, 5–25 cm. Herbage puberulent to glandular-pubescent. Leaves short-petiolate; blades 5–12 mm long, ovate, crenate to deeply serrate. Inflorescence a terminal, glandular-pubescent to hirsute raceme; pedicels ca. 1 mm long. Flowers: calyx 2–3 mm long; sepals unequal; corolla deep blue, 2–4 mm across; style ca. 0.5 mm long. Capsule obcordate, deeply notched, 2–4 mm high, sparsely glandular-villous (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
