Rhizomatous perennial. Stems ascending, simple or branched, 10–50 cm. Herbage glabrous. Leaves sessile, 2–6 cm long, lanceolate, crenate, the upper clasping. Inflorescence glabrous to sparsely glandular-pubescent, axillary racemes; pedicels 3–7 mm long. Flowers: calyx 2–3 mm long; corolla blue, 3–5 mm across; style 2–3 mm long.
