General Description
Perennial. Stems erect, simple or branched, 15–80 cm. Herbage glabrous to puberulent. Leaves linear to lanceolate, 3–7 cm long, entire. Inflorescence villous, glandular-puberulent; bracts orange to red, ovate, entire or with a pair of small lateral lobes. Flowers: calyx 16–28 mm long, primary clefts slightly greater adjacent to the corolla lip, ultimate lobes narrowly acute, 2–8 mm long; corolla green to red, 27–38 mm long, galea 12–15 mm long, lower lip 1–3 mm long (Lesica et al. 2012.
