General Description
Perennial from a simple rootstock, often with bulblets among roots. Stems usually solitary, scapose, erect, 3–30 cm, glandular-hairy. Leaves all basal, petiolate; the blade broadly elliptic to ovate, 1–6 cm long, dentate. Inflorescence glandular, paniculate (sometimes congested); the flowers clustered at the branch tips. Flowers: calyx cup-shaped with lobes 1–2 mm long; hypanthium 0.5 mm or less long; petals obovate, white, 2–3 mm long; ovary at least 3/4 superior. Capsule 3–5 mm long (
