General Description
Perennial from a simple or rarely branched rootstock. Stems 1 to several, erect, 10–40 cm, pubescent below, glandular above. Leaves all basal with broad petioles; the blade 2–10 cm long, spatulate with dentate margins on the upper half. Inflorescence an open, many-flowered panicle; some flowers replaced by tiny plantlets. Flowers: calyx saucer-shaped with lobes 1–2 mm long; hypanthium absent; petals clawed, white, 3–5 mm long, the upper 3 with 2 yellow, basal spots, ovary superior.
