State Rank Reason (see State Rank above)
Rosa blanda is not documented in Montana (MTNHP Status Review in 2016). It was included in the Flora of Montana (Rydberg 1900) based on a specimen collected by R.S. Williams (965) from "Columbia Falls"; however, the specimen has not been found. Since that time none of the major floras that cover Montana have included this plant (Booth 1966; McGregor et al. [eds.] 1977; Dorn 1984; McGregor et al. [eds.] 1986; and Lesica et al. 2012). Rosa blanda occurs in Saskatchewan, the Dakotas, and eastward (Lewis et al. in Flora of North America 2014). A conservation status rank is not applicable (SNA) because this plant is not known to occur in Montana.
