General Description
Monoecious. Stems glabrous, 30–90 cm. Leaves mostly cauline, bi- to tri-ternate or pinnate, ultimate leaflets glandular-puberulent below, 1–2 cm long, deeply 3-cleft and lobed. Inflorescence with few-flowered racemes or panicles from axils of leaf-like bracts. Flowers perfect; sepals white to green, ca. 3 mm long; anthers up to 1 mm long, much shorter than filaments. Fruits 6 to 12 reflexed-stipitate, glandular, flattened achenes, the body 3–5 mm long (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
