General Description
Leaves: petioles to 15 cm long; blades leatherly, to 9 cm long, orbicular to ovate with a rounded base. Flowering stems to 47 cm; raceme 4–13 cm long, 10–25 flowered. Flowers: petals pink to red (veins sometimes purple). Capsules ca. 8 mm broad (Stickney in Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
