General Description

Stems ascending, rooting at lower nodes, 20–70 cm. Leaves sessile, smaller below, narrowly lanceolate, 4–10 cm long, glandular-punctate. Flowers short-pedicillate in spike-like, bracteate, ellipsoid racemes, paired at leaf nodes on stalks 2–3 cm long; calyx 2–4 mm long, glandular; corolla campanulate, 4–7 mm long, the lobes linear, purple dotted. Capsule 2–3 mm long (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
