Navarretia saximontana occurs in north-central and eastern Montana. Plants grow on mud in drying wetlands, coulees, swales, and ponds. General Description
Stems erect, 2–15 cm, simple or branched; the branches prostrate to ascending. Herbage glabrate, stems puberulent. Leaves 5–10 mm long with 5 to 7 primary lobes on the upper leaf. Flowers: calyx 6–9 mm long, the lobes villous; corolla pale blue, shorter than the calyx, tube ca. 4 mm long, lobes ca. 2 mm long; style ca. 3 mm long; stamens ca. as long as the tube.
