General Description
Perennial with a woody, branched (rarely simple) caudex. Stems simple, prostrate to erect, 4–20 cm. Herbage tomentose to glabrous. Leaves 5–60 mm long, simple or, pinnately lobed into linear segments. Inflorescence terminal and axillary, capitate, minutely-bracteate cymes. Flowers: calyx 3–5 mm long; corolla white, salverform; tube 3–5 mm long barely greater than the calyx; lobes 1–3 mm long; stamens exserted; filaments longer than the anthers. Capsule 2–4 mm long with 1 or 2 seeds per locule (
