Slender Buckwheat - Eriogonum microthecum
General Description
Perennial subshrub with woody stems and a branched caudex. Flowering stems ascending, 10–40 cm. Leaves all cauline; the blade linear to narrowly obovate, 1–3 cm long, tomentose, densely below, less so above, margins often rolled under. Inflorescence an open cyme, often flat-topped; bracts scale-like; involucres glabrate to sparsely tomentose, 5-lobed, 2–3 mm long. Flowers 2–4 mm long, white or yellowish, cup-shaped; tepals glabrous, similar in shape; stamens exserted. Achenes 2–3 mm long (
