General Description
Rhizomatous. Stems unbranched, 20–120 cm. Herbage glabrous below, puberulent in the inflorescence. Leaves narrowly lanceolate, 5–15 cm long. Racemes many-flowered with minute bracts, nodding in bud. Flowers magenta; sepals spreading, 7–15 mm long; petals 10–16 mm long. Capsule 1–8 cm long; the coma 10–17 mm long (
