General Description
Stems erect, simple or branched, 20–100 cm. Leaf blades ovate to orbicular, 5–15 cm long. Flowers axillary; calyx 8–14 mm high, divided nearly to the base, the lobes acute; petals yellow, 6–15 mm long, shallowly retuse. Schizocarp 1–2 cm wide, villous with 10 to 15 sections (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
