General Description
Taprooted biennial. Stems erect, 50–100 cm, usually branched. Herbage glandular-hirsute. Leaves long-petiolate; blades ovate, truncate, 7–20 cm long, reduced above. Inflorescence of well-separated verticillasters subtended by sessile, entire, aristate bracts. Flowers: calyx glandular, ca. 1 cm long, lobes aristate; corolla 20–25 mm long, blue and yellow, upper lip erect, middle lobe of lower lip much broader than the lateral lobes; stamens exserted from the upper lip (Lesica et al. 2012. Range Comments
Ravalli County; introduced as an ornamental and occasionally escaped in eastern and western U.S. (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
