General Description
Rhizomes tuberous-thickened. Stems erect, 20–80 cm, usually simple, sometimes stoloniferous. Herbage sparsely strigose; stems hirsute. Leaves sessile, lanceolate, 3–8 cm long, serrate. Flowers: calyx 2–5 mm long with 5 subulate lobes surpassing the nutlets; corolla white, 3–5 mm long. Nutlets 1.5–2 mm long (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
