General Description
Short-rhizomatous perennial. Stems simple, erect, 40–100 cm, puberulent on the angles. Leaves petiolate, blades palmately lobed halfway to the midvein and serrate, 3–10 cm long, puberulent, gradually reduced upwards. Inflorescence of many-flowered verticillasters in axils of upper leaves. Flowers: calyx glandular, 5-veined, 5–7 mm long, the aristate lobes as long as the tube, the lower 2 reflexed down and somewhat longer; corolla pink, 8–12 mm long, bilabiate, the upper lip hood-like, villous, the lower lobes short; stamens 4.
