General Description
Stems ascending, branched at the base. Herbage strigose. Leaves sessile above; blades orbicular, crenate, 5–25 mm long. Inflorescence of few verticillasters subtended by leaf-like bracts. Flowers: calyx 5–8 mm long; corolla purplish, 12–18 mm long; upper lip 2–5 mm long (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
