General Description
Rhizomatous perennial. Stems erect, 30–60 cm, puberulent, woody at the base. Leaves subsessile, narrowly lanceolate, 1–3 cm long, entire. Inflorescence of congested verticillasters in axils of leaf-like bracts. Flowers: calyx 6–8 mm long, 15-nerved, the lobes ca. half as long as tube; corolla deep blue, ca. 1 cm long, bilabiate, lower lip longer; stamens 4 (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).

Range Comments
Introduced from Eurasia for medicinal purposes and sporadically escaped in temperate North America. Known from Lake and Flathead counties (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
