General Description
Annual. Stems erect, 15–70 cm, hispid. Leaf blades ovate, serrate, strigose, hirsute, glandular, 3–10 cm long. Inflorescence of verticillasters at upper leaf nodes. Flowers: calyx 8–12 mm long, lobes ca. equal, the tube, spine-tipped; corolla purple, spotted, 15–23 mm long, bilabiate; upper lip hood-like; lower lip with a pair of vertical projections; stamens 4 (Lesica et al. 2012.
