General Description
Glabrous annual. Stems erect, 5–30 cm, branched in the inflorescence. Leaves alternate, oblong with rounded tips, serrulate, 1–3 cm long. Inflorescence a dichotomously branched umbel with leaf-like bracts. Cyathia 1 mm long or less, membranous, glands small, yellowish, without appendages. Capsule 2–3 mm long, distinctly papillose (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
