General Description
Stems erect to ascending, simple or branched, farinose, 20–100 cm. Leaf blades farinose, lanceolate to triangular, 1–8 cm long; margins entire to dentate, sometimes hastate. Inflorescence glomerules, more than 4 mm across, in terminal and axillary compound spikes. Flowers: calyx segments 5, united at the base, 0.7–1.5 mm long; stamens 5. Seed flattened-globose, honeycomb pitted, 1–2 mm long (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
