General Description
Rhizomatous perennial. Stems glabrous to pilose, trailing to ascending, to 20 cm. Leaves glabrous, narrowly ovate, 8–20 mm long. Inflorescence a terminal, few-flowered, leafy cyme. Flowers: sepals ovate, 2–3 mm long; petals 1 mm long or absent; stamens 5. Capsule 3–5 mm long, opening by 3 slits (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
