General Description
Glandular-hairy perennial from a slenderly branched caudex surmounting a taproot. Stems branched, trailing, 5–15 cm long. Leaves ovate, 1–3 cm long. Inflorescence a few-flowered, compact, terminal, leafy cyme. Flowers: sepals ovate, obtuse, 3–5 mm long; petals 4–8 mm long; stamens 5. Capsule 5–6 mm long, opening by 3 slits (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
