General Description
Sometimes dioecious, glabrous perennial from a branched caudex, forming mats to 30 cm across. Stems erect or ascending, 1–3 cm. Leaves crowded below, needle-like, 2–8 mm long. Flowers perfect or unisexual, solitary, nearly sessile or on pedicels to 2 cm long; calyx tubular, 4–8 mm long, pinkish, 10-veined; petals rose; the blade 1–6 mm long, 2-lobed; styles 3.
