General Description
Plants often forming mats. Stems prostrate, ascending distally, up to 20 cm, often rooting at the nodes. Leaves 5–20 mm long, often with axillary fascicles. Flowers: sepals 5, ca. 2 mm long, green with white margins spreading after maturation; petals 4, ca. 1 mm long (absent). Capsule longer than the sepals (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
