Stems erect, branched, 30–55 cm. Herbage sparsely hispid. Basal leaves petiolate; blades lanceolate, serrate, 5–10 cm long, deciduous at flowering. Stem leaves becoming sessile and clasping. Inflorescence of hemispheric clusters, terminal and in upper leaf axils.
