General Description
Stems erect, branched, 30–55 cm. Herbage sparsely hispid. Basal leaves petiolate; blades lanceolate, serrate, 5–10 cm long, deciduous at flowering. Stem leaves becoming sessile and clasping. Inflorescence of hemispheric clusters, terminal and in upper leaf axils. Flowers: sepals linear, ciliate, 7–11 mm long, erect; corolla conical to campanulate, 2–3 cm long; style shorter than corolla; stigmas 3 (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. Range Comments
Introduced sporadically throughout temperate North America; a garden escape native to Eurasia; collected in Flathead and Ravalli counties (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
