Mostly glabrous and glaucous, taprooted annual. Stems erect, 20–80 cm, usually branched above. Basal leaves withered at anthesis. Stem leaves petiolate; blades oblanceolate, bipinnately lobed and toothed, 3–10 cm long, sessile above. Vestiture of sparse, simple hairs on upper leaf surfaces.
