General Description
Taprooted biennial or short-lived perennial. Stems prostrate to ascending, branched, 10–20 cm. Basal leaves 3–10 cm long, petiolate, the blade lanceolate, pinnately lobed with dentate margins. Stem leaves similar, reduced upward. Vestiture of short, thick hairs. Flowers white; petals 2–3 mm long; stamens 6. Fruit ovate, glabrous, 2–4 mm long, notched; style 0.2–0.7 mm long; pedicels glabrous, spreading, 3–8 mm long. Our plants are var. montanum (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).

Range Comments
In Beaverhead County; OR to MT south to CA, AZ and NM (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
