General Description
Annual. Stems simple or branched, 10–25 cm. Herbage hispid. Leaves linear, 1–4 cm long. Inflorescence ebracteate. Flowers: calyx hispid, hirsute, 3–5 mm long in fruit; corolla ca. 2 mm long. Nutlets 4, lanceolate, smooth, ca. 2 mm long with sharp, often winged margins, brown-mottled; scar long, closed, widened at the base (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants.
