General Description
Stems branched, 5–15 cm. Herbage hirsute, strongly hispid. Leaves linear to oblanceolate, 5–30 mm long. Inflorescence linear bracteate to near the apex. Flowers: calyx hispid, hirsute, 5–7 mm long in fruit; corolla 2–3 mm long. Nutlets 4, lance-ovate, 2–2.5 mm long; 1 smooth and slightly larger, the other 3 sparsely muricate; scar closed, widened at the base (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants.
