General Description
Stems 10–40 cm. Herbage villous. Leaves: basal petiolate; blades lanceolate to elliptic, 6–20 cm long; stem leaves petiolate, smaller . Involucres 15–20 mm high, hemispheric; phyllaries ciliate. Disk corollas 8–10 mm long. Rays 13 to 25, white; ligules 2–4 cm long. Achenes 9–11 mm long, strigose (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
