General Description
Stems 15–100 cm. Cauline leaves 2–25 cm long, recurved at the tip. Involucre 15–20 mm high, to 35 mm in fruit; peduncle much narrower than the involucre. Rays yellow, ca. 15 mm long; the outer longer than the phyllaries. Achene 15–20 mm long including the beak (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
