General Description
Fibrous-rooted. Stems erect, 30–90 cm, sometimes clustered. Herbage glabrate to obscurely arachnoid on the stem. Leaves basal and cauline, narrower upward; blades lanceolate to elliptic, 4–15 cm long, usually serrate. Inflorescence corymbiform of 15 to 30 heads. Heads radiate; involucres 5–8 mm high; phyllaries 8–21, glabrous, black-tipped. Rays ca. 8; ligules 4–9 mm long. Disk corollas 5–7 mm long. Achenes ca. 3 mm long, glabrous (
