General Description
Stems erect, simple, 10–100 cm. Herbage hirsute, stipitate-glandular above. Leaves linear to linear-oblanceolate, 1–11 cm long. Inflorescence of solitary or few, short-pedicelate heads in upper leaf axils. Involucre obovoid, 6–11 mm high; phyllaries ca. 8, stipitate-glandular. Rays 3 to 10; ligules 1–8 mm long. Disk flowers 2–16; corolla 2–5 mm long. Achenes compressed, ca. beakless, ca. 3 mm long (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
