General Description
Stems erect, simple, 7–60 cm. Herbage villous, glandular above. Leaves linear to linear-lanceolate, 1–5 cm long. Inflorescence of glomerules at stem tips. Involucre fusiform, 6–9 mm high; phyllaries 4 to 6, stipitate-glandular, villous. Rays 0 to 3; ligules 1–3 mm long. Disk flowers 1–5; corolla 3–5 mm long. Achenes compressed, beakless, 5–6 mm long (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
