General Description
Stems erect, simple, 8–30 cm. Herbage hirsute, glandular above. Leaves linear, 8–30 mm long. Inflorescence: heads solitary on axillary stem tips. Involucre globose, 2–4 mm high; phyllaries 4 to 8, hirsute, stipitate-glandular. Ray ligules ca. 1 mm long. Disk flowers solitary. Achenes 2–3 mm long, compressed with a curved beak (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
