General Description
Stems ascending to erect, branched above, 5–20 cm. Herbage villous to sparsely tomentose, sometimes minutely glandular. Leaf blades lanceolate to oblanceolate, 1–3 cm long, spiny-dentate. Heads discoid, solitary on branch tips; involucre hemispheric, 6–9 mm high; phyllaries in 3 to 5 series, stipitate-glandular. Disk flowers 15 to 50; corollas 4–6 mm long. Achenes 2–4 mm long (
