General Description
Annual. Stems prostrate to erect, sometimes branched, 3–15 cm. Leaves mostly cauline, linear to linear-oblanceolate, 1–3 cm long. Glomerules axillary, surpassed by subtending leaves. Involucres 3–4 mm high; phyllaries greenish-brown, tomentose; outer with green to brown, pointed tips. Inner corollas ca. 1.5 mm long. Achenes ca. 0.5 mm long; pappus deciduous (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
