General Description
Shallowly taprooted annual. Stems simple, erect, 8–80 cm. Herbage yellowish-hispid. Leaf blades oblanceolate, 5–30 cm long, runcinately lobed, reduced above. Heads 10 to 20. Involucre narrowly campanulate, 6–10 mm high; phyllaries lanceolate, yellowish-setose. Rays 10 to 20 ligules 8–10 mm long. Achenes brown, 3–5 mm long with a 1–2 mm beak (Lesica et al. 2012. Range Comments
Known from Ravalli County. Introduced in the U.S. to the northeast and northwest states, CA and TX; native to Europe (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
