General Description
Stems prostrate to ascending, 10–20 cm; twigs white-tomentose. Leaves linear to linear-oblanceolate, 1–3 cm long, glabrous, resinous; fascicles in lower axils. Inflorescence cymiform with 1 to 5 heads. Involucres obconic, 10–15 mm high; phyllaries imbricate, lanceolate, whitish, outer ciliate with green tips. Rays absent. Disk flowers 5 to 12; corolla 9–10 mm long. Achenes ellipsoid, ca. 8 mm long, pubescent (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
