General Description
Stems solitary or clustered, 5–25 cm. Herbage glabrate to glandular-puberulent. Leaves: basal lanceolate to narrowly elliptic, petiolate, entire or rarely denticulate, 2–5 cm long; cauline 2 to 4 pairs, lanceolate or oblanceolate, sessile or subsessile. Heads 1 to 3; involucre turbinate, 6–12 mm high. Rays 6 to 10; ligules 8–15 mm long. Pappus short-barbed, white. Achenes hirsute, 4–7 mm long (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants.
